The California Child Care Resource & Referral Network compiles data about the state and each of the 58 counties in California, to understand and to assist policymakers and communities to best understand child care supply and demand at the local, regional, and statewide level. This information is compiled biennially in the California Child Care Portfolio.
Child Care Resource and Referral (R&R) programs work daily to address the child care needs of each community. The R&R Services Data Collection Project, conducted by the Network, documents the workshops/trainings, resource library usage, community collaborations, site visits, and community assistance provided by R&R's on behalf of their communities. These services go beyond the core work of providing quality child care referrals to parents and maintaining current lists of licensed child care in each community.
Service Data is collected county by county and also aggregated statewide.
