State Budget

As a result of the challenges presented by the California State Budget, much of the Network's time and efforts in recent years, and likely into the foreseeable future, have been focused, and will continue to focus, on budget issues at both the state and federal levels.

The Network operates collaboratively with many partner organizations as it works to inform policy makers about the impact of budget decisions on working families. This collaboration is demonstrated through the creation of the Campaign to Save Child Care, an effort to protect state child care funding and also through national efforts to expand funding, for the Child Development Fund.
