Current Policy Issues

The Network’s over-arching goal is to improve the accessibility and affordability of quality child care options for all families. The specific direction that the Network takes to accomplish this goal varies from year-to-year and during each budget cycle.

Current efforts have focused on child care licensing - advocating for an increase in the frequency of visits by licensing officers; maintenance of funding for subsidized child care - specifically Stage 3 funding; and increased funding for the Child Development Fund at the federal level.
