Child Care Licensing

The Community Care Licensing Division of the California Department of Social Services oversees the licensing of all child care facilities in California.

For the latest information for licensees, visit the CCLD Child Care Licensing Website.

As a parent, you have the right to get information about any substantiated or inconclusive complaints about a child care provider that you select for your child. That information is public and you can get it by calling the local licensing office.

Click here to contact the Community Care Licensing Division Child Care Offices.

The CCLD Child Care Website also has more information for parents.

For more assistance on locating or communicating with your local licensing office, contact your local R&R agency.
