ECE Shared Resources California is an easy to use website with all the information, forms, and tools you need to provide early childhood education in San Francisco and California. Click here for a summary of what the website offers to the child care and early learning professional community.
The Networks sponsors the California version of the national website, which was established in partnership with the Mimi & Peter Haas Fund and First 5 San Francisco. The Network is seeking partnerships to support county-by-county expansion throughout California, so that in addition to state-specific information, child care and technical assistance providers may have centralized access to county-specific resources. If you are interested in partnering with the Network to sponsor the website for further customization, please email Maggie Hodges at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
At www.ECEresourcesCA.org, you will find:
- Resources for business operations, insurance, family engagement, handbooks, training videos, and health handouts.
- Human Resource tools with San Francisco specific Employee Handbook templates, employer laws, background checks, a local wage survey, health insurance sources, and workplace posters.
- Discounts at leading providers like Book Vine, Community Playthings, and Staples.
- Direct links to the most relevant forms and websites for child care providers, such as those for California Department of Education and Community Care Licensing
All of the resources offered classify as business technical assistance, a type of support explicitly called for within the Child Care Development Block Grant.
A preschool manager in San Francisco explained, “I have used it for everything! I think it's the best in 30 years I have ever seen and I refer everybody to it. Even my Mom has a Family Day Care and she loves the professional growth videos.”
